Second Seatrade All Asia a resounding success

The second Seatrade All Asia Cruise Convention came to a conclusion for some 2500 attending industry professionals on Friday 25 June 2010 in Suzhou. Senior representatives of the world's cruise lines, travel agents from China, and global providers of industry-related products and services spent an illuminating two days at the convention, which was held at the modern Suzhou International Expo Center.

As well as the potential and challenges of the Asian source market, among other issues discussed were the "big picture" of the cruise market in Asia and its rapid development since the inaugural Seatrade All Asia in 2008, as well as the future of Asian deployment and itineraries, infrastructure, ship supply and crewing.

35 high-profile international speakers traded ideas, statistics, facts and opinions about deployment, demographics and more to some 600 delegates in the conference.  Debate also filtered out into the busy exhibition that accommodated 39 companies from Asia and around the world. Additionally, during the event a special two-day training programme hosted 150 registered local travel agents.

On its final day, Friday 25 June, the Seatrade All Asia Cruise Convention opened its exhibition hall to the public. Hundreds of interested Shanghainese packed the venue to find out more about cruise lifestyle from the organisers and exhibitors.
